Bring the warmth and beauty of the Rocky Mountains into your home with Colorado Morning, a fine art print created from an original painting by Teresa Johnson.
The inspiration for this landscape began with a photograph I took while traveling near Vail, Colorado, in the Rocky Mountains. I was drawn to the contrast between the cool mountain stream, distant peaks, deep evergreens, and the brilliant gold and orange foliage surrounding the water.
Back in the studio, I transformed that memory into this colorful original painting, using expressive brushwork, simplified shapes, and layers of warm autumn color. Golden trees dominate the foreground while the winding stream leads the eye toward the quiet mountains in the distance. Touches of turquoise and blue provide a beautiful contrast to the glowing yellows, oranges, and greens of the Colorado landscape.
Colorado Morning captures that wonderful feeling of being outdoors in the mountains when the air is crisp, the water is moving, and the landscape seems to glow in the morning light.
Perfect for a mountain home, cabin, lodge, living room, bedroom, office, or nature-inspired interior, this print is especially suited for anyone who loves Colorado, the Rocky Mountains, autumn landscapes, or colorful impressionistic art.
This artwork is reproduced from my original hand-painted painting, created from my own Colorado travel photograph.
